Ossining Drone Soccer Program
Team First Drone Soccer

Students engineer drones and fly them during contests.

  • Drone soccer is played in a 20 m x 10 m “flying zone” or net.
  • A match has 3-5 players on each team and 3 sets lasting 3 minutes each.
  • Drones are operated by pilots (students with controllers) who have learned how to prepare and repair drones.
  • One player on each team (known as the “Striker”) can score by flying their drone through the circular goal post.
  • The rest of the players help their team score and work to prevent the other team from scoring.
  • Many students compare drone soccer games to Harry Potter Quidditch matches.
