Welcome to the 2024 Annual NY GEAR UP Conference!
This year's conference theme, "On Track for Success: First Stop – Preparing for High School," marked a pivotal transition for rising ninth graders preparing to enter high school. This year's event reinforced the message that success in education begins early. By focusing on middle school graduation, NYGEAR UP underscored the importance of having students set their sights on higher education and career planning early.
During the conference, students attended four different workshops to help them explore and learn about various strategies and resources designed to empower them on their educational journeys.
For the adults who attended the conference, NY GEAR UP offered professional development workshops and motivational speakers:
